Registration and authorization ON THE FORUM only using Russian email services

Comrades pilots!

A law has been passed in the Russian Federation requiring mandatory authorization and registration on websites and forums using only Russian email services.

You will need to, either with the help of admins or on your own, replace your email address from @gmail.com (@yahoo.com, Outlook, Tutanota, Zoho Mail, iCloud Mail, GMX (Global Mail eXchange), and others) with a Russian one (www.ya.ru, www.mail.ru). How this will be implemented on the forum is unclear.

Non-compliance will result in fines for website and forum owners.

Keep in mind that Russian services collect confidential information about users. If you install Russian applications and programs on your computer and smartphone, they scan and report.

I fly every day in Wings of Liberty, except for the afternoon of the 9th when the server wouldn't let me log in.

The reason I enjoy flying with Wings so much is precisely because we share a similar schedule, and because it has a really good reward system with IL-2 STATS and its decorations, etc.

But there are no updates for four days.

Killing player on parachute

Hi guys, Is it normal on your server to kill a player while they’re hanging on a parachute? I played yesterday evening so 31 January 2026 and player MeoW.Scharfi won dogfight with me and I bailed out and was hanging on parachute when he returned back and fired short burst to me, no to aircraft but to pilot on parachute. That wasn’t an accident, it was intentional. I’m disgusted by people like this. I enjoy flying on your server, but this is honestly disgusting. UnfortunatelyI have no record about this incident. I haven’t experienced this on other servers like Combat Box or Tactical Air War...

Humble request for Christmas

It has been a long and hard year for everyone on the Axis side as the Allies keep beating us each month Would it be possible, just for the two weeks over Christmas, to add 4-6 Me262s to the late war maps. They could be removed again in January. My squadron would really like to try and fly these online (mainly for ground attacking) - and the Allies will probably still be victorious in December!

Disconnects Ending Streaks

Now that the latest game update punishes people who disconnect after being shot (to prevent avoiding deaths), can WoL change the rule that a disconnect ends an active ground/air streak? I would submit that, more often than not on WoL, disconnects are unintentional and it is very disappointing when you lose a streak due to disconnect out of your control.

The new update awards a kill if someone shoots you and you disconnect, so I hope you all can consider implementing this change now that it is unlikely to be abused.

Missing kill from Sortie Log Bug

If you review Sortie: 07.11.2021 - 03:04 Landed pilot: TCW_DirtyMike0330 you will see that I shot down a plane but there seems to be a statistics bug. In the game, I got the message that the player died, but not that I killed him (I definitely killed him). In the stats page, it shows that I killed him in the damage log, but gives me an assist instead of the kill in the actual stats.

I believe he is new and over the last two days, he has been doing a lot of friendly fire and, more importantly, was directing homophobic and racial insults at Skot_Lesnoy, calling him a "fag". He also called everyone "niggers". The screenshot for the first word is attached. The second word was not visible in my save for some reason, but I'm sure other players that were on can attest to his use of racial slurs. The chat can also be seen in this YouTube video at the 1:40 mark.

cannot stay connected

I was flying for several hours today. New map and I was on my 2nd sortie. I was disconnected. I joined and flew out. One grid and I was disconnected. I join and pick base and I get disconnected. I join other servers and it is good. I join Wings and it disconnects me. Server is up and my internet is good. I do not understand it.

Connection issues for US Players

Have any other US players had issues connecting to WoL since the last update? I have the following:

1. I get disconnected very soon after joining. There are no ping warnings in the chat.

2. Twice I have connected and other planes can see me but I cannot see them. I can see things they shoot blow up, but not see their planes at all. I receive all chat box messages.

I have reinstalled IL2 and confirmed port forwarding.

Also, I can fly in Finnish and other serves without problems. This only happens on WoL and has only been happening for the last few days.

Friendly Fire Accident

I just had a sortie where I accidentally fired on a friendly. I do not do this regularly, you can check my history. I enjoy the server quite a bit! The guy said he was going to post on here and get me banned, but I want to clarify so that doesn't happen. It won't happen again.

Axis Medals and Awards Guide

Some of the descriptors for the Axis Awards can be a little confusing so I have put together a quick guide to help players out.

The main thing that Axis players should realize is that many of the 'higher' level medals cannot be accessed until the Cross for Military Merit 2nd Degree (with swords in bronze) has been unlocked. Unfortunately this medal is very difficult to earn so players may want to do down the Iron Cross route which has easier requirements.

There may be a problem with the stats server script for the highest award, the Knights Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, as I have never seen this awarded.
